Who we are

FlightCare is a trading name of The Media Flow Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (Company No. 06769171). This website is operated by The Media Flow Ltd, which is the data controller for any personal data processed at flightcare.co.uk.

For data protection enquiries, contact us at [email protected].

What data we collect — and what we don't

FlightCare does not operate a user account system, marketing database, or server-side contact form. We do not store personal data submitted through the eligibility check form on our own servers.

The eligibility check form on the home page sends data (airline name, flight number, date, description of the disruption) directly to our partner Compensair via a standard HTTP GET form submission. When you click "Check my compensation", Compensair's website opens in a new tab. At that point, Compensair becomes the data controller for any information you provide to them. Please review Compensair's privacy policy before submitting a claim.

Server logs

Our web server automatically records standard technical information: IP address, browser user-agent, pages requested, and date/time. These logs are used for security monitoring and debugging. Logs are retained for up to 90 days and are not used for marketing or profiling. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests (website security and operational integrity).

Google Fonts

This website loads typefaces from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com). When your browser loads this site, it requests font files from Google's servers, which may result in Google processing your IP address and browser information. See Google's privacy policy for details. Our lawful basis for this is legitimate interests (website performance and typography).

Cookies

FlightCare does not set any cookies from its own domain. We do not use analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies. We do not display a cookie consent banner because we do not set non-essential cookies.

Google Fonts requests may result in Google setting cookies on their own domain, governed by Google's cookie policy.

Your rights under UK GDPR

Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation and the Data Protection Act 2018, you have the right to:

  • Access — request a copy of any personal data we hold about you
  • Rectification — ask us to correct inaccurate data
  • Erasure — in certain circumstances, ask us to delete your personal data
  • Restriction — ask us to limit how we use your data
  • Object — object to processing based on legitimate interests
  • Portability — where processing is automated and consent- or contract-based, receive your data in a portable format

As FlightCare holds very limited personal data (server logs only), requests are typically straightforward. For data relating to your compensation claim, contact Compensair directly.

To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected]. We will respond within one month.

Complaints

If you believe we have mishandled your personal data, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK supervisory authority for data protection. See ico.org.uk.
