Claiming from your airline
The law is the same for every airline; the form, the login rules and the dispute body are not. Each page below gives the direct route to that airline's claim form, what it asks for, and where the case goes if it is refused.
- British AirwaysRaise a case in BA's Feedback and Claims Portal with your booking reference; CEDR if refused.
- easyJetOne online portal for delays, cancellations and denied boarding; the lead passenger claims for the booking.
- Jet2Online claim form, 28-day target reply, not in an ADR scheme so appeals go to the CAA.
- RyanairClaims go through your myRyanair account with identity checks; AviationADR if refused.
- TUI AirwaysTOM, BY and BLX flights only, wait 72 hours after a cancellation, up to 20 passengers per claim; AviationADR if refused.
- Wizz AirWizz Air UK and Wizz Air Hungary both count; claims through the help-centre form, AviationADR if refused.
Where a refused claim goes
If the airline refuses or has not replied in 8 weeks, the next step is free. Most UK airlines belong to one of two approved dispute schemes; the rest are handled by the Civil Aviation Authority's complaints team, which cannot bind the airline. After that, the county court.
